The dedication on Wednesday was really nice. We had several speakers, and Mitch Landrieu, the lieutenant governor showed up, too. I got to meet Leah Chase, and she autographed a plate for me.
Thursday night was a blast! There were so many different kinds of food and desserts, and it was a lot of fun helping out and eating. The music was great, too, with Leah Chase's daughter performing and the Soul Rebels playing afterwards. My favorite dish of the night was definitely the mushroom and beef from Dickie Brennan's.
